Microsoft Office 2013
This article refers to the Microsoft Campus Agreement version of Office 2013 Professional Plus.
Under the campus agreement regular faculty and staff may download and use one copy of Office 2013 Professional Plus from the UK Download Server for use on their work machine and one copy for work at home use. Students are not eligible to download a copy of Office 2013 Professional Plus under the Campus Agreement.
Before you install Microsoft Office 2013, please review these items:

The Student Version of Office 2013 is now available from the On-the-Hub.
Office 2013 will only be compatible with Windows 7, 8, 2008 R2 Server and 2012 Server. Not Compatible with Vista or XP. System Requirements
Lync 2013 will not be available from the download.uky.edu until Summer 2013.
You must unstall all older or trial/demo versions of Microsoft Office prior to installing Office 2013.
You must install Office 2013 prior to activating your software with the KMS server.
Obtaining Office 2013
Office 2013 is being made available via the UK Download server to Regular University Faculty and Staff. You will need to login with your Link Blue Account. Search for "Microsoft Office 2013" in quotes. Office 2013 is available in 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions. Please consult your hardware specifications to determine the correct version to use.
Microsoft strongly recommends the use of 32-bit (x86) versions of Office 2013 applications as the default option for all platforms. Learn more about the deployment considerations for x64 and x86 at TechNet.
Burning Office 2013 Professional Plus to DVD
To install Office 2013 Professional Plus, you will need to burn the ISO image to a blank 4.7gb (or greater) DVD disc. Please consult your DVD burning software for instructions specific to your application.
If your computer does not have a CD/DVD-ROM, you can download and install DVD cloning software. There are many types of DVD cloning software available (freeware) such as SlySoft Virtual Clone Drive.
Product keys will not be provided for this product. Once machines have been connected to our network and joined to the Active Directory the system they will be able to contact our Key Management Server for the purposes of Activation. Machines must be able to contact our key management server at least once every six months in order to renew their activation. In order to contact the KMS server your machine must be on the UK network, either physically or using a VPN connection.go to http://download.uky.edu
Installing Cisco VPN client software from the download server (off campus network locations only)
Log back into download.uky.edu with your Link-Blue userid and password.
In the grey search bar type vpn
Please choose Cisco VPN client for Windows (This will be an executable file)
It is recommended that you save this to your desktop before running
Install this software
Once installed please open the cisco vpn client the icon will look like a padlock
There will be a connect button you will use your linkblue id and password to log in
Please note you will need to be connected with UK through the vpn client before you can used the KMS utility
For machines that are not going to be members of the University's Active Directory, you will need to manually supply the system with the Key Management Server information.
Please note: If you are not located on the UK Network, you will still be required to use a VPN client to establish a connection to the UK Network in order to connect to the Key Management Server.
- Open an Administrative command prompt.
- Locate the Command Prompt in your Start Menu (Under All Programs, Accessories).
- Right Click on the icon for the command prompt.
- Left click on "Run As Administrator"
- Hit the Continue button on the User Access Control dialog.
Change to the directory "cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\" (no quotes)
* Please note: the (x86) will only appear next to program files if you are running a 64 Bit version of Windows
Run the command: "cscript ospp.vbs /sethst:18.104.22.168" (no quotes)
* Please note: there is no space between /sethst: and the ip address of 22.214.171.124"
- Run the command: "cscript ospp.vbs /act" (no quotes)
