You can clear an Attempt this way:

 

Go to the Control Panel and click Grade center, then Full Grade Center

Click the cell menu for student/quiz and select View Grade Details. 

On the Grade Details page, look to the lower right for the Clear Attempt button.

 

Clicking the Clear Attempt button will clear all data related to the current attempt.  This will allow the student to get into the quiz again.
