Bb 101: Orientation Workshop
Bb 101 (Orientation) is required of new Blackboard instructors at the University of Kentucky, and it may be taken online or in this face-to-face format. This hands-on face-to-face orientation is geared toward instructors with no previous Bb experience. The two-hour workshop will introduce you to the features of Blackboard as well as the controls for developing and managing your course. We'll share tips you'll find useful as well as pitfalls you'll want to avoid. We'll also review basic policies regarding use of the system at UK. Pre-registration is required. Bb9 New Interface Training
Experienced Bb instructors will have an opportunity to explore the Bb9 interface though hands-on guided exercises. There will be time for Q&A as well as 30 minutes of optional free exploration time after the workshop is over. Pre-registration is required. Bb Grade Center
This two-hour long hands-on lab session will introduce you to the many varied features found in the Bb Grade Center. This training session is open to any current or past Bb instructors. Bb Assignments Workshop
This two-hour hands-on lab session will introduce you to following new Bb tools: Self and Peer Assessment (provide criteria and deadlines), Safe Assign (prevent and detect plagiarism), Scholar (share favorite bookmarks and build a course webliography) and BbSync (connect to Facebook).
