Managing a Thread
The Forum Manager can change the status of a thread to:
Published: Available to all users.
Locked: Users may read the thread but not make any additions or modifications.
Unlocked: Allows users to modify and add to the thread.
Hidden: Are not displayed unless the user chooses.
Unavailable: Only visible to Forum Managers.
To change the status of a thread:
1.) Confirm you are in the course you would like to work in and that you have the Edit Mode set to ON.
2.) In the Course Tools section of the Control Panel, select Discussion Board.
3.) On the Discussion Board main page, select the forum you would like to modify. When the new view of the forum opens, locate the desired thread.
4.) Click on the drop-down menu next to the thread's name. All status modifications will be listed. Simply click the one you wish, and the changes will be immediate.
NOTE: Once you hide a thread, you will need to click on the green Display button, and select Show All to see the content.
