My Content Collection
The Content Collection provides 20 MB of space for students to upload any documents that they are currently working on. The Content Collection is also a useful location for storing a backup of important materials. All Blackboard users are assigned a personal folder for the Content Collection.
1.) Once logged in to Blackboard, click on the "Content" tab next to My Bb.
2.) In the Content Collection page, select Upload File from the Action Bar.
3.) In the Add File page, browse to select a file to upload and then decide to lock the file, share comments, enable versioning, and/or enable tracking.
4.) Select Submit to add the file to your Content Collection.
5.) For a file that has been uploaded, permissions granted to other users can be managed by selecting Permissions from the file's drop-down menu.
7.) In the Manage Permissions page, you can choose: Select Specific Users, Select Specific Users By Place (Course, Course Group, Organization, Organization Group), Select Roles or Permit Anyone to grant Permission to Read, Write, Remove and/or Manage the document in question. This is an efficient way for a Course Group, for example, to keep track of a document that will be turned in as an assignment.
