***Updated for Fall 2011***
The Tasks tool in Blackboard allows students to keep track of work that must be completed. Each task is assigned a status (priority) and due date; this is particularly useful for classes that are a mixture of online and classroom instruction. Instructors may add tasks that appear on the syllabus, but not necessarily in the Blackboard course.
1.) To view Course Tasks, first enter the course in which you would like to access the Tasks.
2.) From the Course Menu, select Tools.
3.) In the Tools page, scroll down and click on Tasks.
4.) From the Tasks page, you will have access to all Tasks created. By clicking the drop-down action button to the right of a Task's name, you can change the status of the Task.
5.) You may navigate away from the page at any time when completed.
