This section can be used when there are multiple Instructors or Advisors that are reviewing portfolios and can be simplified if only one Instructor is reviewing portfolios. Portfolio grade columns are not created automatically. If you would like to have grades associated with the portfolio, grade columns will need to be created manually.
1. Begin by clicking Grade Center in the Control Panel and selecting Full Grade Center from the drop-down menu.
2. Create Grade Column(s):
a. Once in the full grade center, select Grade Column. If there is only one reviewer, name the column (e.g., Portfolio, ENG101 Portfolio, or whatever you wish) and input a Points Possible.
b. If there are multiple reviewers, a grade column is useful to keep track of who is reviewing the students’ portfolios. The grade column can be named Portfolio Reviewer (or whatever you wish); the Primary Display can be set to Text, and Points Possible kept at 0. Instructors/Advisors can input their initials into the grade cells of the student portfolios they are reviewing.
3. To input grades for portfolios, first locate the row for the student you are grading. In the first column that corresponds to your role (e.g. instructor, advisor, etc) type your initials. In the next column type the grade you are assigning.
