Finding your Mac Address on Windows XP

These instructions show how to determine the MAC address of your your network card in Windows XP.
  1. Click on your Windows XP Start button.
    Windows XP Start Button - brings up Start Menu
  2. On your Start Menu, click on the run menu
    Windows XP Start Menu - used to access the run dialog
  3. In the run window enter the command 'cmd' and click the OK button.
    Run Dialog - use this to launch the command prompt by entering CMD
  4. At the command prompt, enter the command 'ipconfig /all' and hit enter.
    used to display network IP Address and Adapter information
  5. From the information displayed, locate your Wireless Adapter configuration and write down the Physical Address. This is what you will need in order to register your device.
