<p class=A style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial><font size=2>You can now answer or place a call via Office Communicator on your PC and use your UC Deskphone as your audio device. The UC Deskphone connects to your PC via an A-to-B USB cable connection. You will need an A-to-B USB cable in order to connect your UC Deskphone to <span> </span>your PC via the USB method. You can switch audio from the UC Deskphone to another USB audio device connected to your PC if you configure two audio devices in the Audio Tuning Wizard. </font><span style="font-size:12pt"><span> </span></span><font size=2>All phone controls, including volume, are handled on the PC in the call window, not on the UC Deskphone. <span style="font-size:12pt"></span></font></font></p>

<p class=A style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial size=2>You now have the option of changing the ringtone on your UC Desk Phone. To do so:</font></p>

<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>Why doesn't my UC Desk Phone dial my contact when I click on their name on the touch screen?</font></h3>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-weight:normal;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"><font size=2>The layout of the Contacts list on the UC Desk Phone touch screen has been updated. Previously, tapping on a Contact's name would automatically dial that person, and the icon to the right of the Contact's name would open the informational Contact Card.</font></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size:9pt;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'">In response to user feedback, tapping on a Contact's name now opens their Contact Card with a list of their published numbers. Added to the Contact Card is the <b>Last Call</b> field. This field shows the phone number last used to place or receive a call from that contact. Tapping on the <b>Last Call</b> field, or on any of the phone numbers listed, from the Contact Card will automatically dial the number selected.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:9pt;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'">The icon to the right of the Contact's name has also been modified. It no longer opens the Contact Card. Instead, it is now the <b>Quick Dial</b> button. This button defaults to the <b>Last Call</b> field and will dial whatever phone number was last used to place or receive a call from that contact. The icon itself will change images to indicate which number was last used: Communicator Call, Work, Mobile or Home.</span></p>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>I am using my UC Desk Phone as a PC audio device, and I have my USB headset plugged in as well. Which device will be the default when I answer a call through Communicator and how do I change it?</font></h3>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-weight:normal;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"><font size=2>Whichever device is selected in Communicator on the &quot;Handset or Headset&quot; screen in the Set Up Audio and Video wizard will be the default audio device when placing/receiving calls.</font></span></h3>

<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>How do I unlock my UC Desk Phone remotely from my desktop?</font></h3>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-weight:normal;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"><font size=2>Your UC Desk Phone must be connected to your PC/laptop via an A-to-B USB cable to utilize this feature. When your UC Desk Phone is connected to your PC/laptop in this manner, your UC Desk Phone will automatically unlock when you unlock your computer.</font></span></h3>
<p><b><span style="font-size:9pt;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'">Note: </span></b><span style="font-size:9pt;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'">Your UC Desk Phone will not automatically lock when you lock your computer. You can manually select <b>Lock Phone</b> from the <b>Settings </b>tab (looks like a cog) on the touch screen, or it will automatically lock itself after 15-20 minutes.</span></p>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>I want to connect my UC Desk Phone to my PC to take advantage of the Better Together features, but I don't have many USB ports on my machine. Can I use a USB hub with Better Together?</font></h3>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-weight:normal;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"><font size=2>We do not recommend using a USB hub to connect your UC Desk Phone to your PC for Better Together. We have found that USB hubs introduce some connectivity issues. We recommend connecting your A-to-B USB cable for Better Together directly to your PC/laptop and using your USB hub to connect your other peripheral devices.</font></span></h3></div>

<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>I just moved to the OCS 2007 R2 and now my Live Meeting Add-in in Outlook is gone. How do I get it back?</font></h3>
<p class=A style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial size=2>After you have been moved over to OCS 2007 R2, you will need to reinstall the Live Meeting console and the Live Meeting Outlook Add-in. To do so:</font></p>
<p class=bulletnumbered style="margin:0in 0in 0pt 0.5in"><span><span><font face=Arial size=2>1.</font><span style="font:7pt 'Times New Roman'">        </span></span></span><font face=Arial size=2>Uninstall both the Live Meeting console, and the Live Meeting Outlook Add-in on your PC/laptop.</font></p>
<p class=bulletnumbered style="margin:0in 0in 0pt 0.5in"><span><span><font face=Arial size=2>2.</font><span style="font:7pt 'Times New Roman'">        </span></span></span><font face=Arial size=2>Click <a href="/ocs/Client%20Software/Forms/AllItems.aspx"><strong>here</strong></a> to download the UK-OCS-R2-Client-Setup</font><font face=Arial size=2> utility, run the installer and select the Manual installation.  From there choose to install the Live Meeting client and the Outlook Add-in.</font></p>

<p class=MsoNormal style="margin:0in 0in 3pt"><span style="color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"><font size=2>If you still do not have the Live Meeting Outlook Add-in after installing the new version, please submit a request to the appropriate Customer Service Center or departmental IT group.</font></span></p>

<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>In the Meet Now options in Live Meeting, I have selected &quot;Connect to the meeting using computer audio or telephone&quot;. Why does my meeting only allow attendees to use computer audio?</font></h3>
<p class=A style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial size=2>This is currently a known issue with Meet Now through Live Meeting. The reason the telephone audio does not work is that the dial-in information, rather than the new OCS Dial-in Conferencing information. We are hoping to have this issue fixed in the next release. In the meantime, you can schedule a Live Meeting with telephone audio through the OCS Dial-in Conferencing service in Outlook by clicking on <b>Schedule a Live Meeting</b> if you have installed the Live Meeting Add-in as described in the previous FAQ entry. </font></p>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2></font> </h3>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>When I try to use the Live Meeting service, I get a message that says I need to test my connection. How do I do that?</font></h3>

<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-weight:normal;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"><font size=2>With certain phones and networks, you cannot conduct calls and instant messaging conversations (data sessions) at the same time. If you have a CMDA phone (from Verizon or Sprint) or a phone that is not on a 3G network (T-Mobile, AT&amp;T), you may notice that CoMo 2007 R2 signs out while you are on a call. CoMo will automatically sign back in once the connection is re-established if you've selected the Automatically Sign-in option. This is expected behavior on STM networks such as CDMA, 2G or EDGE.</font></span></h3>
<p class=MsoNormal style="margin:0in 0in 3pt"><font face=Arial size=2></font> </p>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>Why does CoMo sign out when I close the CoMo window to exit?</font></h3>

For PocketPC, the close button works as Minimize but you can override the functionality and tell the app to close instead. Some phones may come with this setting turned on by default, which can cause CoMo to exit/sign-out when you click the </span><span style="color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'">X </span><span style="font-weight:normal;color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'">button to close. We recommend you turn this feature off.</span></font></h3>

At any time, you can get up-to-date presence status for a specific contact by opening their Contact Card.</span><span style="color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"></span></font></h3>

This requirement causes this and several other features of R2 to fail. You can use “call via work” featuer when both your device and the called number are either local or campus calls. If your device has a number outside the Lexington Local area then this feature is not for you.</span><span style="color:#333333;font-family:'Segoe UI','sans-serif'"></span></font></h3>

<p class=A style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial size=2>As the leader of an OCS Dial-in Conference call, you can mute and un-mute participants. However, if you mute a participant who dialed in over PSTN (landline), you will not be able to un-mute that participant. This is because OCS Dial-in Conferencing is connected to Live Meeting and Live Meeting does not yet have an un-mute option for PSTN connections. This option will not be available until Live Meeting goes through a redesign. In this scenario, the participant will need to disconnect and then dial back into the call to be heard.</font></p>
<p class=normal-nospaceafter style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial size=2></font> </p>
<h3 style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial color="#4f81bd" size=2>I scheduled an OCS Dial-in Conference call and specified additional participants as Leaders. Why don't those people seem to have Leader functionality in the call?</font></h3>
<p class=normal-nospaceafter style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial size=2>This is a known issue with OCS Dial-in Conferencing that is currently being addressed. Until a resolution is put in place, the person who schedules the conference call will need to connect to the call and manually assign Leader permissions to the other user(s) once they have joined.</font></p>
<h2 style="margin:6pt 0in 0pt"><font face=Arial size=2>To manually assign Leader permissions:</font></h2>
