Introduction
UKIT is pleased to announce that we have finalized agreements with Microsoft and eAcademy, and can now offer Windows 7 to students at a greatly discounted rate. Students are entitled to purchase one copy of the 32-Bit OR 64-Bit Version of Windows 7 for the cost of the Media Kit (includes DVD and unique personal Product Key) plus shipping.
eAcademy
Our partnership with eAcademy allows students to purcase Media Kits for Microsoft products such as Windows 7. While other media kits for other Microsoft are available for purchase, students can download one copy of Office 2007 for Windows OR Office 2008 for Mac at no cost directly from the University of Kentucky at http://iweb.uky.edu/MSDownload/.
Where to Purchase
Students purchase the software through our campus partnership with eAcademy. Follow the instructions below To access the eAcademy store to purchase Windows 7:
- Navigate to http://download.uky.edu/.
- Login using your link blue account.
- Click on the link for the eAcademy logo that appears at the top of your screen.
- Once Logged into eAcademy, click the link for 'Students'.
- Select the software you wish to purchase, in this case, Windows 7.
- Click the 'Add to Cart' button to begin your check out process.
